چکیده

Modernistic scalable multiprocessors are mostly built with a distributed-shared memory architecture. Large scale shared memory multiprocessors have long memory latencies for the remote memory access. And these latencies can quickly offset system performance earned from the exploitation of parallelism. In order to improve system performance, we must reduce memory latencies. The useful way for the improvement is to use efficient synchronization scheme. However, the past relaxed memory consistency models are not suitable for the out of order execution environment. In this paper, we present a new synchronization scheme based on superscalar multiprocessors to exploit the parallelism. Several synchronization primitives are proposed to create a more weak memory consistency environment. Extra hardware is added to support the new synchronization operation. A simulator is developed to evaluate the performance enhancement of various synchronization schemes. Experimental results display that the performance improvement of our proposed synchronization scheme is significant.

Synchronization of Microgrid Considering the Dynamics of V2Gs Using an Optimized Fractional Order Controller based Scheme

In this work, a new control scheme for synchronization of AC microgrids with upstream power grid is presented. The effects of V2Gs (vehicle to grid) dynamics on synchronization process is studied. This new control approach is based on the optimal fractional calculus and has been developed for synchronization of the microgrid. The V2Gs effect on the dynamics of the microgrid is analyzed through ...

Fuzzy Modeling and Synchronization of a New Hyperchaotic Complex System with Uncertainties

In this paper, the synchronization of a new hyperchaotic complex system based on T-S fuzzy model is proposed. First, the considered hyperchaotic system is represented by T-S fuzzy model equivalently. Then, by using the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) method and by applying linear system theory and exact linearization (EL) technique, a fuzzy controller is designed to realize the synchron...

A New Relaxed Memory Consistency Model for Shared-Memory Multiprocessors with Parallel-Multithreaded Processing Elements

The release consistency model is the generally accepted hardware-centric relaxed memory consistency model because of its performance and implementation complexity. By extending the release consistency model, in this paper, we propose a hardware-centric memory consistency model particularly for shared-memory multiprocessor systems with parallel-multithreaded processing elements. The new model us...

A Lightweight Causal Logging Scheme for Recoverable Distributed Shared Memory Systems

This paper presents a new causal logging scheme for lazy release consistent distributed shared memory systems. For the eecient implementation of causal logging, data structures and operations supported by the lazy release consistency memory model are utilized. Also, unlike the previous scheme which logs the vector clock for each synchronization operation, the proposed scheme adds the minimum in...
